16 Photos to Inspire You to go Hiking in the Peak District, UK
Sometimes, due to work commitments, lack of free time and/or finance, I am unable to get on a plane and explore a new country.
At those times, I try to explore my own country since it is much easier and cheaper for me to take day trips.
How many of us a guilty of jet-setting off to foreign lands but fail to explore our own back gardens?
Ofen, there are many beautiful places to explore in our own country. And here in the UK, it doesn’t get much better than the Peak District.
The Peak District
The Peak District is a National Park that lies in the centre of England.
It’s famous for its dramatic landscape, stark moorland and awesome views.
From my home in Cheshire, I can get to the Peak District after about an hours drive. If you’re coming from London it will take you about 3.5 hours and you can travel by car or by train.
I frequently escape to the peaks to go hiking with my dog, Winston, and together we have a mini-adventure.
If you love the outdoors and enjoy walking, cycling and/or wildlife watching, then I encourage you to visit The Peak District on your visit to the UK.
..and to help tempt you even more, here are 16 of my own photos to help inspire you.
Please bear in mind that I’m far from being a professional photographer – I’m more of a ‘point and shoot’ type of person – so just imagine how great these photos would be if they were taken by a professional!
When are you visiting The Peak District?
After seeing those photos, I’m sure that the question isn’t ‘if’ you’re going to visit, it’s more likely going to be ‘when’ are you going to visit.
Please do let me know when you plan on coming and let me know if you have any questions, I’ll be happy to help you out.
